Cocktail

Four toothpicks and a penny are arranged as shown, to represent a cherry in an old-fashioned glass.

Move two toothpicks and get the cherry outside of the glass? The glass may have any position at the end, but the cherry cannot be moved.

One-Two-Three

I first heard this puzzle from a Mensa member who had come across it years before at a mathematical conference in Holland. I gave the puzzle to a friend of mine who could not solve it and took it along to his club. The members there pondered over it for many hours without success. Finally, one member took it home to show his twelve-year-old son, who solved it in five minutes. It is that type of puzzle.

What is the next row of digits?
