The Crocodile Shoe

An Argentinean manufacturer of shoes made of expensive crocodile leather wanted to open up the U.S. market for his product. However he found out that his merchandise was subject to very high import duty which would make his shoes uncompetitive. He thought of a scheme which enabled him to export to the U.S. avoiding the high import duty without breaking the law. and without behaving improperly in any way. What was his scheme?

The Sisters

Jane and Jessica are sitting on a park bench—two very pretty dark-haired girls, as alike as two peas in a pod. A stranger walked by, looked at the girls and said: “You are obviously twins, how old are you?”

Jessica replied with a smile: "We are ten years old, and have the same parents, born on the same day, in the same year and yet we are not twins.” Can you explain?
